It Flows Forward

So many people in high school and college dread the endless amounts of research papers and essays that they must do in order to pass or move on. No one really wants to read a book they have no interest in and then turn around to write a critical and carefully calculated synopsis on that boring text. Nor do they want to pick a research topic such as the one on the endangered species of the baiji dolphin because honestly who really cares about that crap. But writing should be enjoyable and a way to express yourself on a piece of paper. Even if you are just writing about a topic that you were assigned and don't really care about, everyone has their own style.

Expressing yourself through your work is so exhilarating and it gives me a warm feeling inside to see something that I have written come out onto paper where anyone who wishes to read it can. Don't treat writing as something that is forced, but instead as something that is cherished and can last the ages. Write as if what you are saying will be around for generations to come even if you don't believe it is that important. Writing in any form is a window into our souls and we must put everything we have into anything we say. Without things being written down they would be forgotten and lost over time and that is why writing is the most important thing.
